Man.. I am drooling like crazy over this:

sephorapalette.jpg

What’s that crazy monster? It’s Sephora’s

Ultimate Blockbuster - Collector’s Edition

Just look at it. It’s crazy awesome, no? It contains:

  • 71 eyeshadow shades (0.04 oz each)
  • 13 cream eyeshadow shades (0.03 oz each)
  • 5 blushes (0.19 oz each)
  • 1 compact powder (0.19 oz)
  • 60 lip glosses (0.03 oz each), one lip liner
  • one eyeliner
  • 4 brushes
  • and 3 sponge-tipped applicators

all encased in an edgy black case.  And it’s only $48!!  That’s only about 29 cents PER item.  There’s so many different colors and finishes for the eyeshadows, from beautiful browns and nudes, to cool matte colors, and greens, purples, pinks, and everything in between.

I sooo want this!

Inexpensive Make Up - Rehash

Shimmer Mineral Glow Set
I think I wrote about the greatness of inexpensive make up before. A lot of people tend to think that the more expensive an item is, the better it is. For make up, that’s not entirely true. There are great products in all price ranges! There’s no need to be snobby about using only department store brands. Heck, most make up all come from the same manufacturing facility in China anyways. While skincare items might still be manufactured here in the states, a lot of companies outsource their color (make up) items.

Anyhow… recently J asked about E.L.F., is it cheap make up or just good make up that happens to be cheap?

How cheap you may ask… well, almost everything is $1. Lippies, foundation, blush, eyeshadow, all just a buck. And a lot of their items are serious dupes for products you find from brands like Stila! And they even have great mineral make up (That set in the picture is only $15)! Yes, I haven’t posted a lot about mineral make up since to me, pretty much all powdered make up containing mica and talc would be considered mineral make up. Anyhow..

If you want to try: e.l.f. Mineral Makeup. Mineral Makeup from e.l.f. Cosmetics for Great Low Prices!

Things I’d Like to Buy

August 20th, 2008 · 2 Comments

A new pair of shoes - something comfy, flat, but supportive.  Mary janes are looking mighty cute.

New moisturizer - Have gone through 2 bottles of Boots No. 7’s Oil Free Day Gel (or whatever it’s called), so looking for something new and different.

Recently I bought:

2 cream blushes from Sally Hansen’s Natural Beauty Line Inspired by Carmindy.  The lightest shade Beaming is REALLY light, so probably would suit me better during the winter when I’m much paler.  Bloom (or Blooming?) is slightly darker, but looks super natural on me.  <3 it

1 lipstick also from the Carmindy line.  It’s very matte and very pink.  I’m not sure if it suits me well.  Might give to mom.

Conditioner from Joico.  Extreme Moisture might be the line, but ugh, I need sleep, I can’t keep anything straight.  Don’t remember why I stopped getting it cuz this shit works!

Bleh.. this was such a lazy post.  I need sleeeeeeeep.

Will, aka The Hub, is very fascinating.

Today he said:

Fo’ Real UCLA?

August 8th, 2008 · No Comments

So for years of UCLA has left me in debt, which is like, whatever, it was bound to happen.  Then coming out of UCLA, I get a blah paying job, which is fine, whatever, it’s temporary.  Then there’s the student loans to pay back, which is fine, I’ll budget.

So, UCLA, why do you insist on calling this broke ass alumna to donate money to you?!?  Haven’t you taken enough already?

Friggin A… Might as well have gone to USC (if they had accepted me)
