It’s been confirmed by WWD:

MAC Cosmetics has teamed up with Sanrio Global Consumer Products to create a Hello Kitty color cosmetics collection.

The line will arrive on MAC’s Web site Feb. 10, in North American stores on Feb. 12 and into overseas stores in March.

“MAC has been mining pop culture since the brand was founded,” said John Demsey, group president of the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc. “This is a sexy and innocent fashion line, and a true MAC moment. In these times, everyone can use a little fun — and a little Kitty.”

Eerie

My apartment complex has a handy man that goes to fix things.  The thing is, sometimes they don’t notify us that he’s coming over to fix things.

So about 15 minutes ago, I heard this sawing sound right outside my apartment.  It’s friggin creepy as hell.  I go look, and the handy man is fixing the air conditioner.

A notice would have been nice.

I guess most of the time people are out and about at 11 in the morning, instead of being home alone in a darken apartment, and noticing first a shadow outside their apartment, then hearing a sawing sound.  It’s freaky donchaknow!

Sun Protection on Hand

November 20th, 2008 · No Comments

Yesterday I took a horrible econ midterm that I totally didn’t study for (or go to class for), so I finished quickly, handed it in, and decided to head off to the beach.  The school is only 17 blocks from the beach, so without traffic, it took less than 5 minutes to get there.

The only problem was, I wasn’t prepared for the beach!  I did apply a moisturizer with sunscreen on in the morning, but the rest of my body was woefully unprotected.  My skin started hurting about 5 minutes after I sat down in the sun.  Then I remembered, I had tossed a small bottle of sunscreen in my make up bag without thinking about it just yesterday!  What a great coincidence!

So from here on out, I will forever carry a small bottle of sunscreen just in case I get the urge to go to the beach again.  Here are some options that are great for both your face and body!

DHC Suncut Q10 30+ - The finish is really invisible, so it goes on well underneath make up, and it’s also strong enough that it applies smoothly all over your arms/legs.  Contains octinoxate 5.0%, oxybenzone 0.1%, titanium dioxide 5.8%, zinc oxide 20.0% for broad protection.

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion SPF 55 PA+++ - This line from Shiseido is famous.  You know how some Asian women like to keep their skin milky white?  Yep, this is it.  Again, great for face and body.

DDF Organic Sun Protection SPF 30 - This is specifically made for people with sensitive skin in mind.  The active ingredients are Zinc Oxide 6%, Titanium Dioxide 3.2%, which normally doesn’t irritate sensitive skin the way some other sun blocking ingredients could.  The finish again is matte, and it blends very easily.

I just realized that it’s the middle of November and I’m writing this post about sunscreen.  I do live in LA, and it’s like 80 degrees outside!!!  Even if it wasn’t 80 degrees out, it’s still important to apply sunscreen!

Too Face, To Die for Lashes

November 18th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Too Faced Lash Injection is one of the must have mascaras right now.  It may not vibrate or oscillate, but it gives serious lashes, lashes to die for.

The big wand is not so big that it’s hard to maneuver, it won’t end up on your lids or anything like that.  The formula is near perfect; it doesn’t clump or flake, and it comes off easily with an oil based make up remover.  Even my sister, who has the shortest lashes I’ve ever seen, is able to get serious lashes from 2 applications.  On me, with mid-long lashes, I look like I have some natural looking falsies on.  That’s now good it is.  You must try this mascara!

Staring into Twilight

November 17th, 2008 · No Comments

Since I received my books last Thursday, I’ve been pretty much isolated and secluded.  Sorry about that to anyone who was wondering what I was up to.

I did manage to stop reading in time to attend a Holiday meeting at Sephora, although I haven’t started yet.  I also got my first paycheck for attending orientation.  Orientation was interesting, and I really really can’t wait to start.  All the girls (and boy) seem really fun and interesting.

But I am going back to my book, and back to imagining myself being held by Robert Pattinson as Edward.

I can’t wait for the movie to come out!  I’m such a fan girl.
