That title has got to be the most net-lingo I’ve ever used. But I do love JRZ&Z, basically, Julie, Richard, Zoe, and Zac!! They showed me the best time ever in such a short amount of time in Manhattan. They brought out the morbid side of me that liked crime scenes. I found out I couldn’t blow raspberries and babies don’t like me much unless I dance around like a monkey. Papaya juice tastes good (but why does papaya milk stink so much?). And fries dipped in a wasabi mayo sauce is seriously delicious.
NYC as a whole is sorta yicky, hot, humid, and smelly. But, Manhattan itself is just soo cool and fun, it kinda makes up for it all. Yes, this so cal, space loving, car driving gal, likes the small enclosed pedestrian life of Manhattan. I love how you can walk everywhere, and there are stores on both sides of the street, making the walk seem closer. I love how you can take ferries! The subway scares me to no end (what about an earthquake? Z: we don’t get that here; what about a black out? Z: we don’t get those either) since the idea of being stuck underground is just a tad nerve-wrecking. But then there are buses, and I’m used to buses.
I love how things are opened late for night owls like me! I loved how I still got to taste delicious food at 10, 11, 12 at night!! I love how grandiose the buildings are, and how historical the island feels.
The things that still puzzle me - the trash bags out on the streets and where in the world gas stations are. Why don’t they put trash bags inside big trash cans for the trash trucks to pick up? And seriously, where are the gas stations?? Or do people with cars have to drive outside of Manhattan to get gas?
If both Will and I can find a job in Manhattan, I’d move in a heart beat. Actually, that will be a post for another day.

HEY! How odd, I thought I subscribed to your blog (I use Google Reader) but NOTHING ever showed up! And now I see that you’ve got all these new posts! Must catch up haha.
Thanks for visiting us!!!! I wish you coulda stayed longer, there’s so much more to love about NYC. And about the trash bags, hahahaha, they are only put out in the evening and picked up that evening/night. In the morning, there’s nothing, it’s clear
Meanwhile, for the rest of the week, the garbage and recyclables are collected within the building, out of sight, in cans if you like.
And…you don’t want to buy gas in the city. =P But they’re all by the highways and if you remember, we avoided the highways so you could see the local roads ^_~
