I stare in the mirror, and I immediately notice the dark circles with fine lines underneath my eyes. It’s inevitable. No creams or serum will make those disappear. But when I step back, I generally look the same as I did 2, 3, even 5 years ago. I just looked tired, like I need a really long nap.
Then I go on facebook and I look at people I knew from elementary school/middle school/high school. Holy moly, not only have they changed, they look like real adults now. It’s amazing how mature some of them look.
Will I ever see an adult when I look in the mirror? Or would I have to wait until I’m in my late 30s to see an adult emerge?
Then again, is it a good thing or bad thing to look younger than ones age? I fear that I won’t be taken seriously because I still look so green, so fresh from college. I fear that others won’t trust my judgment because in their eyes, I’m too young. I mean, dude, I don’t look that much older than my supervisor’s 13 year old daughter. Then again, she looks around the same age as 3/4 of my coworkers, so maybe it’s her, not me.
-le sigh.

gloria!! i saw something on youtube that’s great for dark circles. look up eve pearle… she uses salmon colored concealer. i have yet to try, but sounds like a good tip.

yea, concealer with a orange base cancels out the blue in dark circles.. but half of the time I’m too lazy to put make up on prior to work.. =P
and 3/4 of my coworkers are asian (it’s a lab!).. and the old classmates are white.. so yes, we do age slower.. but is that really a good thing?

I am 33 and people tho I was only 25. So, you don’t need to worry too much cuz when you reach my age, you will still look the way you are at age 23.
