The Beauty Within

A while ago, the lab manager decided that everyone on the lab floor shall wear BLUE lab coats, and everyone not in operations shall wear white lab coats.  The reasoning was that we spill solutions on our white lab coats and the stain is impossible to remove.  *roll eyes*

So according to lab meeting notes, when we ask for a new coat, the new coat would be blue.  However, the lady who orders supplies, including lab coats, has comprehension problems, and went ahead and began ordering blue coats for everybody, AND taking away our white coats.

Not only do we look like frumpy car mechanics in these starchy, stiff, rough, and oversized (for some reason they are just huge) coats, they get really hot.  It’s almost impossible to work with them on at times because it gets too hot.   AND, we look more like the car mechanics at the garage down the street than like lab techs!  So yea, boo!

Then comes Bones, the hit Fox TV show that I’m finally coming around to.  Yes, seriously, hulu.com rocks because all of season 1 is on that site.  Anyhow.. they’ve got their people in blue coats!  Soo.. maybe the manager has just been watching Bones, and decided to put his peons in little blue coats so he can imagine that we’re solving crimes and mysteries like the people on Bones?
