The Beauty Within

I went to the NARS counter at the Nordstrom in Westside Pavilion today to get a lipgloss for my sis (Daredevil - a beautiful plum/berry red that’s not too dark) and a foundation for me (oil-free in Santa Fe). The counter manager, Holly, wasn’t busy, so she decided to do my whole face, which I of course, did not object.She applied the foundation with a bit of their shimmery moisturizer mixed in it first with her fingers. The shimmery moisturizer helps add a natural luminescent glow to my whole face. She then concealed my eyes with a big concealer brush, setting it with their loose powder in I think Flesh (but forgot to look). She then used a big full bronzer brush and blended in bronzer on my temples, underneath my cheek bones, and along my jaw. She blended it a lot so it didn’t look streaky. Then she used a blush (I think it’s Luster) right on the apples of my cheeks. Then she placed highlighter (Albatross) in a > shape to frame my eyes.

For my eyes, she used about 3 or 4 different colors, and blended all of them together for this look. Afterwards she mixed Orgasm with another color (again forgot to look) for my lips for a nice peachy/berry look.

The best part of it all, she put NO pressure in me to buy any of the products she used. She was just having fun, which made me super happy. I should have dressed up and gone out for the night, but alas, I came home, and took pictures of myself. =D

Anyhow, have a GREAT Holiday season. It’s my first time buying gifts for my whole family, so I’m quite excited to share them on Tuesday.

PS: I did have my eyebrows shaped recently at BEBA Beauty on Westwood by Lynne. I don’t know what you guys think, but I think my eyebrows look AWESOME.
