I love having that natural pink glow girls get when you make them blush literally. The apples of the cheeks just get all pink and cute.. it’s to die for.
I’ve been having trouble getting blush to stay on my face, and with my new job, it’s even harder because the labs get a bit hot. It’s not like we can just strip to cool down either, because for our safety, we have to keep our lab coats on.
So today I tried out this combo, and guess what? My cheeks looked just like it did 9 hours later. What did I do different?
1. After putting on tinted moisturizer (or foundation for those who wear foundation), layer on a thin layer of powder. I used the pressed powder that came in a Dior palette my mommy gave me. Any type of powder, either loose or pressed will work, as long as it sets your make up.
2. Dab on CREAM blush and blend it into the apples of your cheek in a circular motion. I only have 1 cream blush, and that’s Laura Merciers Creme Cheek Colour in Canyon, which Sephora describes as a “radiant netural suntan for all skin tones.”
3. Afterwards, I put a layer of POWDERED blush on top of the cream blush, and used a fluffy round blush brush (still using that circular motion). It sounds like overkill, but trust me, it will last. Today I used my Missha blusher in Hot Pink (the link takes you to another color because the Hot Pink shown on their website is a bronze color, rather than hot pink!), which I got on sale for $4.
As for the rest of my make up, I like to think I looked cute. Used my Lancome’s Artliner in Noir (what Gucci Westman, Lancome’s Beauty Creator/Head Makeup Artist has used in fashion shows for a few seasons now) to line my eyes thinly, with a little wing tip at the end, and my new eyeshadow staple, Wet n Wild’s Fine Blink. The color is so long lasting, creamy, and it takes a lot (like being in a humid room with 10 diff. hot water baths) for it to crease. I topped it off with light mascara (forgot what I used) and some thick chapstick (which oddly gets dried despite the humidity).
Try the cheeks and let me know if you love it!
