The Beauty Within

Although Asian Americans still aren’t seen prominently in mainstream media, have you guys notice how we’ve been kicking ass in reality competitions?  Survivor, Project Runway, and most recently, Top Chef.

Not to be cocky or anything, but I think it says something about our talent!  We rock the world with our talent, and we as a whole are pretty hard working people.  With all these reality competitions, it’s really not so hard to see why Asians would win them.

I don’t follow Survivor seems to be such a good guy, with a really hot body.  And Survivor winners seem to fair pretty well afterwards.  Look at Elizabitch Hasselcrack!  She’s on The View spewing her right wing agenda to anyone who would listen (and now getting her ass kicked by Whoopi!).  Then of course my fav. designer, Chloe Dao wins Project Runway Season 2.  Out of the 3 seasons, she’s the only woman winner too!  How amazing is that?

Now Top Chef.. yumm.  During the show he did seem to be a cocky asshole, but during the last few episodes he showed more of his vulnerability.  Plus his food just looked sooo delicious!  I’m glad he won because he just seems to be a better chef than the other 2. 

Not to hate, but y’all know that Asians rock. 

Now… how about more Asians in sitcoms and hour long dramas?  Masi Oka and James Kyson Lee are only 2 people in a show with a HUGE cast.  Speaking of which, I do have this idea for a TV show and I wonder how it’ll fly.  When I have develop the idea more in my head, I’ll share it with you guys.  =D
