The Beauty Within

I’m really happy with how my year went.  I accomplished so much and I feel comfortable with the person I grew into.  I got to do lab work, which was a great experience that taught me so much more about science than all my classes combined.  I got to be super involved with CCDC, and it’s the best experience ever.  I got to learn more about myself, about communicating with other people, about working in groups, about setting deadlines, about being professional, and most important, I got to make so much good friends.

This whole graduation thing is just hitting me now, since I just picked up my cap and gown.  There were sample gowns we could put on to make sure the length was correct, and it was an out of body experience.  I’m there in this black gown staring in the mirror, all while thinking “holy fuck.. I’m graduating tomorrow.”

This is fucking unbelievable.  There were SO many times in this 4 years that I thought it would be better if I transferred elsewhere, or even drop out and start fresh at a JC with a whole different major.  I’m so happy I had the support and encouragement from my hubby and my family, because without them, I probably would be flipping burgers or something and crying cuz everyone I know is graduating.

I can’t fucking believe I made it.  HOKIDALA!!!!!
