My dad recorded a CD filled with songs dedicated to his parents. Since I don’t understand Taiwanese as well as I should, he explained to me the meaning behind some of the songs. After a two songs, he got a bit choked up and we just enjoyed his music.
I too, began tearing up. The love my dad has for his parents, and the way he unselfishly does everything for them (and us), makes me guilty at times. Would I ever be as good and unselfish as my dad? In his youth he worked hard to help his parents, and by the time he was my age, he was already a parent, working hard to take care of us kids. Why is it that I find it so difficult to just take care of me?
I’m glad I am who I am, and I can say it’s all due to my parents. I sometimes wonder why so many people blame their parents for their problems who “neglected” them in the past. They were trying to make life easier for you. Just because they never said, “I love you,” or only talked to you when you got a bad grade, it doesn’t mean they don’t love you. Geebuz! That shouldn’t mean that you can’t be capable of love either.
Gah, I’m ranting. This is why I moved my beauty related stuff to another blog. I like being able to rant and ramble about everything and nothing. =D

You are my candy girl~~~~
I love these cute oldies music. Back in middle school, everytime it rained, we’d be hustled inside the cafeteria, where Sweatin to Oldies with Richard Simmons would be playing, and we’d all line up in rows to well, sweat to oldies. It was cheesy and lame, but the oldies music was kinda cute.
Anyhow.. I’ve signed up on Sugar, both TeamSugar and OnSugar, which is a mix of myspace and xanga, with emphasis on topics gearing toward women. I’ll probably post most of my beauty related things there now, so if you are interested, sign in and add me, “JuicyWatermelon” as a friend!
Here’s a sample of my first beauty post there:

According to The N, my fantasy boyfriend is Edward Cullen!!
I like my version of Edward Cullen, but the movie version? He’s suppose to look like he wants to KILL me when he first meets me, not like I farted and he finds me repulsive.

Part of the reason for me to work at Sephora as a part time job on top of my full time job was the perks. They are not shy to tell applicants about “gratis”, which are free samples/full size products from different companies. The sample size products are pretty darn generous.

My newest toy is Lancome’s Primordiale Skin Recharge Cream. It’s an anti-aging cream that’s aimed toward the 35+ crowd, with a small 1.7 oz jar at $64. My little sample jar is 0.5 oz, so I’m able to really try it out.
I normally shy away from creams because I find them too heavy for my face. This cream however, seems to absorb into my skin within seconds, leaving my face feeling moisturized without the icky film feeling that creams tend to have. As a matter of fact, this cream absorbs into my skin better than the oil-free moisturizer from Juice Beauty! Perhaps it’s the extra dry weather, or perhaps it’s just a better formula for my skin, but whatever it is, it feels great!
There IS fragrance in this product, like many high end products tend to have (Lancome, Estee Lauder, Shiseido, etc). It’s a bummer for those with extra sensitive skin. However, I haven’t broken out in a rash yet and I have sensitive skin, so who knows, maybe the fragrance isn’t irritating!
